Okay, back when I was a Junior in High School, I caught a glimpse of Nat Turner's Rebellion, which involved a slave from Virginia named Nat Turner who killed over 50 whites, including women and children. I remember saying to myself, "There goes one of the first black people to fuck everything up for his race." Now, I'm black myself, and I don't see everything in black and white; I see things on both sides of the coin.
Fast-forward 4 years later, and I decided to read up on the whole thing. And I read had to be the most embarrassing thing ever to happen in black history, in my opinion. So what I gathered was that Nat Turner was an intelligent preacher who saw himself as a prophet. One day, he claimed that he had a vision; a vision saying that God came to him and told him to slay his enemies, which in this context meant the whites. All of them. So, as said before, he and his crew hacked up over 50 whites, in order to free the slaves and strike fear into white people, but his plan had failed miserably when he and his crew were captured and executed. Because of this, more than 200 blacks were killed, and they weren't even in on the plan, which made it even more fucked up. Plus, this led to the whole teaching slaves to read and write being outlawed at the time. I was done.
I would understand his motive if he didn't kill anyone, nor did he listen to a "vision" from God. Now being a pagan, I'm having a hard time trying to understand why God would tell this man to kill his enemies, EVEN though in the Bible, killing is wrong.
I'm sorry to say this, but if there's a Hell, then Nat Turner is BURNING like an overcooked fish.
